The project targeted foreign nationals from Nigeria, Albania and Morocco held in
prisons or detention centers in Italy who were sentenced to return to their country of origin
at the end of a restriction period. The project's aim was to improve their living conditions and to increase the beneficiaries’ chances of successful reintegration in their countries of origin through training and educational programs.
In cooperation with the University of Benin City (Nigeria), research analysis on the origin country labour market and on the policies of forced repatriation to countries of origin was carried out, as well as an advocacy campaign to discourage illegal immigration.
